What is the process like?

Dr. Urcelay will examine the patient’s lobe and the state of the hole where the earring is placed or, if applicable, the wound produced, and explain to the patient the technique to be applied.

What is the operation like?

The ripped lobe is corrected under local anesthesia and the procedure usually lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on whether the intervention is necessary in one or both ears. The technique consists in uplifting the edges of the wound and closing it again.

And the postoperative?

The stitches are removed 10 days after the intervention, and a month after the ears can be pierced again.
